About 16-0 Play
16-0 Play is an independent cricket game. Build a squad, simulate a season and compare runs on the leaderboard.

How the game works
16-0 Play is a browser-based cricket strategy game built around squad selection and simulated seasons. Player profiles show a role, team, season record, and game rating. In the standard mode, you select eleven players. Their roles shape the team's batting and bowling strength, while chemistry, rivalries, overseas count, and rating thresholds can add bonuses or deductions. Match outcomes include chance, so the displayed strength helps compare teams but cannot promise the next result.
The game has Classic, Franchise, Gamble, and Multiplayer modes. Classic is the direct XI-building experience; Franchise offers a larger squad and match preparation; Gamble creates a team around a random philosophy; Multiplayer brings people together for a timed auction. Roster rules differ by mode. Each team plays fourteen regular-season matches across two groups, then the top four enter the playoffs. “16-0” is the challenge goal, not the number of league fixtures.
Game data and sources
The ratings and role labels are game values, not official ratings or a ranking of real-world ability. Some player profiles also show career totals calculated from Cricsheet's public IPL ball-by-ball records when a player's identity can be matched confidently. Each career section names Cricsheet and links to the Cricsheet Register. A profile without career statistics means the identity could not be matched confidently; it does not mean that player has no IPL record.
Cricsheet's Register is published under the Open Data Commons Attribution license (ODC-BY 1.0). The Register's license and attribution are separate from the ball-by-ball match records; Cricsheet's official pages reviewed for this site do not specify a license for those records. The statistics follow the counting rules described with the data and should not be mistaken for official competition records.
The website is maintained as an independent project. It does not publish a named author or development team on this page. 16-0 Play is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the IPL, BCCI, or any franchise.

How to read the numbers
A player profile can show both the game rating and a career record. The rating and role help shape the simulated team. Cricsheet totals, when available, summarize real IPL ball-by-ball records. They answer different questions: the career figures are not used to calculate the game's rating. Profiles show career figures only when a player's identity could be matched with confidence.
Game rules may change as the project evolves. The strategy guides explain how the game currently works and link to related details. They do not describe official competition rules. A match simulation may simplify real cricket events, and a generated score is neither a prediction nor a historical record.
